How can we create,

if we were never created?

Why should we be patient,

if patience is time wasted?

Why do we seek peace,

if we come from chaos?

How do we sense destiny,

if we began without cause?

How can we be grateful,

if life was never given?

How do we have gospels,

if Christ was never risen?

How can a person,

come from something impersonal?

How did we learn mercy,

if our Maker is not merciful?

Where do we find joy,

if there was no joy before us?

Why submit to goodness,

if goodness is not conscious?

How do we have a will,

if nothing willed us into existence?

How can we have sense,

if we come from something senseless?

Where did love come from,

if it transcends humanity?

How can we be sane,

if reality is insanity?

Why do we do evil,

if no evil lives within us?

Why do we feel guilty,

if no witness can convict us?

Why do we ask forgiveness,

if we made up repentance?

Why do we ask questions,

if there is no reason for our existence?

How are we supposed to be,

if we exist unintentionally?

How can we live purposefully,

if we exist coincidentally?

How can everything and everyone,

come from absolutely nothing?

How can truth and love and beauty,

emerge from something ugly?

What can infuse meaning,

and value and purposeful growth?

The cause of all there is,

must explain all there is to know.
